Amon Amarth\u2019s first concept album is named after the Jomsvikings, an order of Viking mercenaries\/brigands who were staunchly Pagan and were dedicated to the deities of the Old Religion such as Thor and Odin. Jomsviking definitely invokes this image with tracks such as \u201cRaise Your Horns,\u201d \u201cThe Way of Vikings,\u201d \u201cOne Thousand Burning Arrows,\u201d \u201cVengeance Is My Name,\u201d and \u201cBack on Northern Shores.\u201d A leading Viking metal band, Amon Amarth definitely deserves (and once you learn about them, even commands) attention.
